Professional Certification

The Rosen Southwest Program at Two Rivers Center offers professional career training
in Rosen Method bodywork and movement.  These trainings are available to the general public and are of specific interest to those in the bodywork and healthcare fields.

A diploma / certificate will be offered through Two Rivers Center to those students who complete the training program. This diploma certifies that the student has met the standards and requirements set by the Rosen Institute (a non-profit educational corporation) for a Rosen Method practitioner or movement teacher. The Rosen Institute is an independent certifying body and does not confer any State licensure or other government-approved certification.

No representations are made that the instruction shall or may lead to any employment. Students completing the curriculum are certified as Rosen Method Practitioners or Movement Teachers.

Rosen Method Bodywork

For those interested in becoming a Rosen Method bodywork practitioner, the training track consists of a minimum of six Intensives (252 in-class hours), plus internship.
Intensives are held three times per year.  The program is designed in this way to allow time to integrate the material that is presented as well as the personal growth that occurs during the training.

Level One – Fundamentals of Rosen Method bodywork are covered during the first three Intensives.

Level Two – Advanced Training includes supervisions and discussion of student’s work. Professional issues such as  practice-building and scope of practice are covered.   Upon satisfactory completion of the Advanced Training, students may be recommended for internship.

Internship

The Internship is the final stage of training and is comprised of 350 hours of independent practical work seeing clients, 25 hours of personal bodywork sessions, 6 client reviews, 25 hours of supervision, attendance at one Intensive during internship, and two required presentations.

The Rosen Southwest staff works closely with students to help them fulfill these requirements.

Rosen Method Movement

To become certified as a Rosen Method Movement teacher, students attend five 5-day Intensives of 5 hours per day.

Internship

The final stage of the movement training is the internship, which is comprised of 25 hours of independent practical work teaching Rosen Method movement classes; supervisions; and observations of classes.
