Time for an update….

One year has passed since Rosen Method Center Southwest became a not-for-profit organization. It has been quite a challenge to learn how to manage our small Center with all the new federal requirements, but the job has been well done. We continue to learn what needs to be done, while at the same time, developing our teaching program and our beautiful location, as well.

The two houses on the ten acres of Two Rivers have been refurbished. We now have housing for 5 people in the beautiful Adobe house, and room for an additional 5 people in the Bungalow. A new bridge has been built on the road between the two houses after the existing one was washed out in a magnificent rain, hail, lightening and thunderstorm this July. A new walking bridge is now across the creek and a picnic area designed. Plans are beginning for a new teaching and housing facility as well.

This year we did an audio ad for American Airlines that was aired throughout the month of August on all their flights. You can hear this on our website now. We designed our new website also, which I think you will find easy to navigate. Currently we are in the process of filming a dvd about Rosen Method bodywork and Rosen Method movement. As soon as it is completed you will be able to see it on the website and copies will be available.

Two weeks ago, Cameron, Julia and myself attended the Rosen Leaders Conference, called by Marion Rosen. Thirty people from around the world were invited to participate in this event. Marion, at 93, wanted us to meet each other, talk about Rosen and find ways to spread the importance of our work. For each of us there was a feeling of strong purpose, with all of us acknowledging how Rosen brings peace…to ourselves, in our relationships and in the world. Rosen is now being taught in Bosnia, Israel and, later this year, in Palestine. There was a deep feeling of gratitude held by all participants as we all experienced the importance of generosity and communication amongst us and the profound value of Rosen work.

The Leader’s Conference reiterated the purpose and vision of Two Rivers: to support health, creativity, community and diversity - emphasizing the importance of our reconnecting and reawakening to the intrinsic need for human touch and movement.

All of you who have attended our classes know the teaching is done with care and integrity. We seek to expand conscious awareness and health through stress reduction, relaxation and the relief of physical and emotional tension and pain. People from all walks of life attend our classes for personal health. Some continue on for professional certification.

We are open to your ideas and thoughts about the best way for us to fulfill our mission and reach many people. We would love to hear from you.

Please look at our 2008 calendar on this website. If you know of anyone you would like us to inform about Two Rivers Center and Rosen Method, please call or email. We will be happy to contact them. And, please, come and join us so that you can experience this work for yourself.

If you have been looking for just the right non-profit organization to support, please consider Two Rivers. Your tax-deductible donation would make a very big difference for our Center. A donation of any size would be greatly appreciated. We will be very grateful for your help.

Rosen Method changes the world for the better, one person at a time.

Sincerely,

Sandra Wooten, M.A.
