Personal Health
Adult women and men from all walks of life come to our Center for the Rosen Method bodywork and movement program. Each offers the opportunity to learn about oneself in a safe and beautiful environment. Our movement classes are residential and set in the lovely countryside of Northern New Mexico. Our spring and fall Bodywork Intensives are held in the beautiful and lively city of Santa Fe. Our residential meals are prepared by our host, Felipe Ortega, and are always healthy and delicious. The residential Intensives are near the hot springs and the river and the open fields, on land that is sacred. The light here is like no other place on earth.
In Santa Fe you will have countless choices of some of the best restaurants in the country, not to mention the museums, art galleries and sightseeing, be sure to treat yourself to a day or two before or after the Intensive!
During the bodywork Intensives students learn about themselves through the deep relaxation that occurs with gentle touch, both given and received. Rosen Method Movement is a part of each bodywork Intensive. A creative project is included, such as mask making, writing or collage.
The movement Intensives offer a wonderful opportunity to move with ease and joy. Everyone who has the heart of a dancer, the soul of a poet, the love of music, will be drawn to the deep satisfaction and fun of this way of communication with self and others in the class.
There are many reasons a person decides to attend an Intensive:
• to learn more about themselves
• to gain personal awareness and mindfulness
• to learn to listen and make healthy decisions for their life
• to find new direction and maybe a new career
• for a retreat, simply time for one’s self within community
• to learn to be yourself
• to stay healthy in aging.
for the joy of movement and the grace of touching & being touched.
Marion Rosen, founder of Rosen Method bodywork and movement, says
"This work is about transformation — from the person we think
we are to the person we really are"
