Rosen Method Movement

movement

Unique in it's simplicity and powerful in it's effect, Rosen Method Movement is a precisely conceived form of exercise. It is based on the full range of motion movements of physical therapy coupled with a deep understanding of the  potential for movement of every joint and every muscle in our bodies.

Adaptable to all ages, bodies and abilities, Rosen Movement enhances flexibility and alignment, maintains balance and mobility, and promotes relaxation in an easy to follow format. Set to a wide range of music chosen to support the various segments and create a connection to the body/mind /spirit of one's full being, this movement appeals to the dancer within.

Rosen Movement holds the intention of preventing injuries and physical difficulties before they arise and helps people who have muscle tension, reduced mobility, depression and stress.

Whether maintaining or regaining fluid motion that translates into everyday life, Rosen Movement provides the opportunity to know the ease of well being in the deepest sense.

Classes are lighthearted and restorative, enhancing ease of breathing, promoting greater circulation and deepening one's awareness of the body. The invitation is to move with ease and joy… it is possible to have fun while keeping fit!

This work was designed 50 years ago by Marion Rosen who was trained in physical therapy in both Sweden and at the Mayo Clinic and subsequently created her own form of bodywork which is now taught along with the movement in 18 countries around the world.
