TOUCHING THE
BODY – REACHING
THE SOUL How Touch Influences the Nature of Human Beings Sandra's book has been reprinted and is available
now. About This Book... This book is an important contribution to the growing body of knowledge about the intricate relationship between psychological issues and the physical body. These issues are of direct relevance to the work of hospital and home care nurses, doctors, psychotherapists, massage therapists, physical therapists, bodyworkers, hospice workers, clergy and other health care providers. Experiences cited as examples in this book are drawn from the author's years of work as a Rosen Method practitioner. To quote the author: Respectful touch allows changes to begin on the inside, and move outward at a pace that matches an individual's own rhythm. The result is an "unfolding." Rather than attempting to fix someone or make them different, this is a process of gently showing people to themselves -reflecting their true being, recognizing their integrity & aliveness, allowing physical ease. "Touching the Body – Reaching the Soul contains a vital truth
and lesson: If you don't feel you cannot heal.....Our bodies speak the
truth. We must be in touch to live our true destiny." Read it and
find your path. "In this bold and thoughtful therapy, Sandra Wooten combines respectful,
gentle touch and hypnotic conversation to heal long-standing trauma.
With her clients she studies the reality of the body and shares the emotional
experiences, restoring their sense of their very own bodies." "About ten years ago I was in Russia with Mary Kay Wright doing
a workshop there. While demonstrating on a man he said something in Russian
which was translated to me: "Your hands are touching my heart." Sandra
Wooten in her book describes her own moving experience with touch and
its healing qualities. Her book being translated into Russian seems most
appropriate." Sandra Wooten's work touches us all in the most meaningful and healing
manner. A new way for the Third Millennium! About the Author... Sandra Wooten began her studies with Marion Rosen in 1978. She incorporated the Rosen Institute in 1983 and was the founding president of the Board of Directors. In 1986 she began teaching in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and in 1990 founded the Rosen Method Center Southwest. She has a private practice in Rosen Method bodywork and Clinical Hypnotherapy. Since 1984 Sandra has taught Rosen Method bodywork and movement in the
